01 THE FIRM—

Intentional design for unconventional spaces.

Dupont Blouin is a Montreal architecture and design firm, born of the partnership of two complementary architects, Marie-Josée Dupont and Olivier Blouin: the yin and the yang, measure and expansion, the cold and the warm, the eye and the eye.

From the high-end residence to the neighbourhood grocery store, from office layouts to custom furniture, they seek to balance forces and align elements to create spaces that are mastered, magnified and enjoyed.

02 TEAM—

Marie-Josée Dupont

ARCHITECT MOAQ PARTNER

Architect since 2011

Studied at the UQAM School of Design, the Canadian Centre for German and European Studies in Berlin, Université Laval, La Rochelle University and the Université de Montréal. She worked mainly at Jodoin Lamarre Pratte Architectes on large-scale projects.

She teaches at the Université de Montréal School of Design (Interior Design Studio 2, 2026) and at UQAM (Integrated Objects and Spaces Studio, 2024).

Olivier Blouin

ARCHITECT MOAQ PARTNER

Architect since 2014

Studied at the UQAM School of Design, the Canadian Centre for German and European Studies in Berlin, and the Université de Montréal. He worked for nearly six years at Saucier + Perrotte Architectes. He is also a renowned self-taught architectural photographer.

He teaches architectural and design photography at the Université de Montréal’s School of Architecture (2023–2025).

03 APPROACH—

Dupont Blouin explores atypical ways of bringing the rituals of daily life together. By gathering people and generating unusual atmospheres, the firm finds creative ways for users to interact. Prototyping and painstaking work with material are what allow it to innovate.

04 OUR MISSION—

The firm offers design, construction and renovation services for buildings, interiors and custom furniture in the commercial, residential and institutional sectors — working primarily in Québec: Greater Montréal, the Laurentians and the Eastern Townships. Client involvement and collaboration is seen not as a constraint, but as the starting point of every project.
